The new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will not only be fun to drive, but also fun to be in.

Volkswagen has revealed their redesigned 2019 Jetta sedan at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Marked by a new look and great new features, the Jetta is sure to impress new car buyers looking for an efficient but stylish sedan in 2018.

“Almost everything is completely new; there’s almost nothing shared between the current model and the 2019 Jetta save the basic engine” said Daniel Shapiro, VW product manager for the 2019 Jetta.

Shapiro talked in-depth about the latest features and design options of the newest Jetta recently, highlighting what makes the 2019 Jetta from past models.

“We’ve added a host of new available features, like standard LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, 10-color ambient lighting, and ventilated seats. The Jetta is also the first North American VW vehicle to offer a Beats premium sound system. Plus, because the car is now based on the MQB platform, it enables us to bring a whole new list of available driver assistance features. And for those people who like a little more aggressive styling, this is the first Jetta to be offered in R-Line trim.”

Some of the aforementioned driver assistance features Shapiro mentions includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Light Assist, Lane Assist, and Rear Traffic Alert. All of these available features, combined with the restyling inside and outside of the new Jetta make it one of the most attractive options you'll find in the small sedan class.

So who does the new Jetta appeal to primarily? Shapiro says it appeals to a diverse group of buyers.

“You have your entry owner, those who are getting their first job, or are buying their first new car. There’s the young professional who aspires for something great, who wants no compromises. You also have older buyers who may be downsizing from a larger sedan or SUV who want all the features but are looking for a vehicle with better fuel economy and great driving dynamics in a smaller package.”

Those looking for great driving dynamics will enjoy knowing the 2019 Jetta comes standard with a turbocharged engine. And for those who want added performance? You can opt for the all-new R-Line Jetta that offers a Cross Differential System (XDS®), which applies braking pressure (when needed) to the inside front wheel during turns for more accurate cornering.

Additionally, the 2019 Jetta comes with “The People First Warranty” which is a transferable 6-Year/72,000-Mile Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty*.
