More Standard Features on the New 2020 Honda Ridgeline

Honda is ending 2019 with the release of the new 2020 Honda Ridgeline, which is expected to hit dealerships this month.

Here is what we can expect with the new Ridgeline:


New Nine-Speed Automatic Transmission

According to Car and Driver, the 2020 Honda Ridgeline will get a new nine-speed automatic transmission to swap gears, which will replace the previous six-speed transmission. The engine will remain a 3.5-liter V6, which makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.

Trim Structure

For the 2020 model year, the Ridgeline will consist of the Sport trim as its new base model. Other trims that will be available are the RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition. The base model will now come standard with more features than before.

Standard Features

One of the most significant updates is are the upgraded features that will be standard on all models. The base model (Sport) will include an eight-inch infotainment system as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also featured on all models is the Honda Sensing package. This package includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The Honda Ridgeline has proven to be popular with customers. In addition to excellent safety ratings, the 2019 Ridgeline earned the award of Mid-Size Truck Challenge by Cars.com.
