Hybrid vehicles, as well as SUVs, are quite popular this day and age, which makes the introduction of the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid that much more significant.

For the first time, Honda has added a hybrid powertrain one of America's most popular crossover SUVs. Since its 1997 introduction, the CR-V will receive two electric motors with a 2.0-liter engine and all-wheel-drive (AWD).

In addition to offering a hybrid model, the 2020 CR-V will also receive a slight facelift, new features, and of course, updated powertrains. The drivetrain of the 2020 CR-V is similar to the one found in the Accord hybrid. It produces a combined power output of 212 horsepower as well as a 50% increase in EPA city fuel economy over the nonhybrid. This would put the 2020 CR-V around 44 mpg city.

Standard features will include Honda Sensing safety and driver-assist technology, Sport, Econ and EV drive modes, LED headlights, fold-down 60/40 split rear seatback, and real-time AWD. The Honda Sensing feature offers a suite of safety and driver-assist features such as Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with low-speed Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS).

The Honda CR-V has already received a number of awards, which makes the release of the hybrid model that much more exciting.
