The 2019 Ford Ranger: Why It Is The Most Efficient In Its Class

As of this week, the Ford Ranger has made its return to U.S. dealerships as the most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered pickup truck on the market.

According to Automotive News, the 2019 Ranger will get 21 mpg city/26 highway/23 combined. This combined figure ties the Chevrolet Colorado diesel engine's 23 mpg, but outranks the other midsize pickups with gasoline engines.

The Ford Ranger truck will be making its return to the U.S after 7 years. Ford has announced the pricing for the 2019 model. The midsize pickup truck will start at $25,395 for the base model (4x2 SuperCab XL) and go up to $39,480 for its highest trim (Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew).


According to Autoblog, there will be a total of nine trim levels: XL Chrome, STX, XLT, XLT Chrome, XLT Sport, Lariat, Lariat Chrome, and Lariat Sport.
