All-new 2027 Volkswagen Atlas debuts at the New York International Auto Show

 

The all-new 2027 Volkswagen Atlas has officially made its debut at the New York International Auto Show, introducing a bold new generation of Volkswagen’s popular three-row SUV. With updated styling, enhanced technology, and improved performance, the latest Atlas is designed to better compete in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment.

The 2027 Atlas represents a full redesign, marking the second generation of the model since its original debut. Volkswagen has refined the SUV’s signature look with sharper lines, updated lighting elements, and a more modern overall appearance.

Highlights of the exterior update include:

  • Redesigned front fascia with available illuminated VW badge

  • New LED lighting signatures front and rear

  • Updated wheel designs and fresh color options

  • A slightly longer body while maintaining its bold, spacious stance

Under the hood, the 2027 Atlas features an updated turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing approximately 282 horsepower, offering a boost in performance over the previous generation

  • Front-wheel drive standard, with available all-wheel drive

  • Up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity
