We are just about halfway through 2022 and while supply issues continue to have an effect on the automotive industry, these models have managed to reach the most buyers in 2022. Car and Driver has complied a list of top 25 best-selling vehicles – 11 of which we carry here at the Kelly Automotive Group.
Nissan Altima (38,295 units sold)

Once again, the Honda Civic continues to be a favorite among young buyers. In fact, the sedan recently earned the title of North American Car of the Year. The Civic has dominated the compact car segment for 12 consecutive years and continues being recognized as such.
The 2022 Honda Civic has been completely redesigned for the model year.
Ford Escape (39,962 units sold)
Along with being a top-seller, the Ford Escape has also been named one of Autoblog’s best SUVs for gas mileage. For 2022, the Escape now offers three new blue exterior color options: Atlas Blue, Flight Blue, and Iced Blue.
Honda Accord (42,039 units sold)
The Honda Accord is a favorite of Car and Driver and has also earned the title of 2022 ‘Editor’s Choice Award. Earlier this year, we gave a list of five reasons why you should get into the 2022 Honda Accord – many of those highlighting the Accord’s excellent safety ratings.

With summer in the horizon, the Jeep Wrangler is a great SUV for outdoor adventures. For 2022, the Wrangler lineup gains the Willys model with the Xtreme Recon package. The 2023 CR-V is expected to be offered with both gasoline and hybrid powertrains.
The current Honda CR-V has earned the title of Top Safety Pick by IIHS.

Ford F-Series (140,701 units sold)
The ever-so-popular Ford F-Series has had quite an impressive year so far – earlier this year, Ford hit a major milestone with production of its 40 millionth F-Series. For 2023, Ford has added the off-road oriented Rattler trim on the F-150 lineup for the new model year. The Rattler’s positioning in the F-150 lineup provides a more affordable option for buyers who want additional off-road capability.
Later this year, America’s favorite truck, will have an electric option – the F-150 Lightning. The F-150 Lightning shares much of the regular F-150’s body and cabin but swaps that truck’s gasoline-powered V-6 and V-8 engine options for a pair of electric motors and one of two different battery packs.
